Cheesy Bacon Chicken Pasta with Broccoli

Ingredients
• 8 ounces penne or your favorite pasta
• 4 slices bacon, chopped
• 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
• Salt and black pepper to taste
• 2 cups broccoli florets
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
• Cook pasta according to package instructions. Add broccoli florets to the boiling pasta water during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
• In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside on a paper towel to drain.
• In the same skillet, add olive oil and cook chicken seasoned with salt and black pepper until browned and cooked through.
• Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the chicken, and cook for another minute.
• Lower the heat and add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese to the skillet, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
• Add the cooked pasta and broccoli to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
• Sprinkle the cooked bacon over the top and serve hot.
